Blogging and Social Media

mBio

I am currently working with the American Society for Microbiology as Social Media Editor (SME) of mBio, a new online open-access journal. As SME, my role is to manage the social media efforts for the journal, including writing and responding to Twitter and Facebook messages about new articles. 

I am currently designing a blog for mBio that will eventually feature summaries of the more significant research articles slated to appear in the journal as well as interviews with editors.

My past assignments have included interviewing scientists for Meet the Scientist, which is also a production of the American Society for Microbiology.   I interviewed researchers about their work, wrote up blog posts to accompany the podcasts, and collaborated with the Society to produce the final product.
